Dwarf elephants on the Greek Islands?

Have you ever heard of these? I never had until today.

We're talking about adult elephants four feet tall!

Apparently they became dwarves because they were isolated on islands for very long periods.

Unfortunately they're all extinct.

Here are some links about several species of dwarf Mediterranean elephant:

Apparently there were also fossils found in California and Indonesia.

Dwarf elephants on the Greek Islands?
i have never heard of dwarf elefants on Greek Islands but i know that there are animals currently living in the amazon rain forest. they are called tapiers. they are smaller, black and white, and they have short trunks.
Reply:The last ones lived on Telos island. The most recent bones found date from 1700 BC. In Greece many exotic animals lived in the prehistoric past, like lions, leopards, rhinoceros etc.
