I didn't think they did. Maybe all the blood hasn't gotten to their feet yet so they look white, after being born. Or it could be fluids or other substances on the feet from just being born.

Why do newborn African Elephants have bright white feet?
Maybe so mice can see them coming in the dark and get out of the way before the elephant sees them and panicks?
