Swollen feet that go numb when heavy pregnant?

hi im 37.4 weeks pregnant but my feet feel really heavy and numb they are so swollen they look like elephants should i give midwife a ring or is this still ok at this stage i never had this with my other 2 children

Swollen feet that go numb when heavy pregnant?
yeah. swelling is normal, but if it seems excessive give you midwife a ring.

Severe swelling can be a sign of preeclampsia, but swelling alone doesn't necessarily mean you have preeclampsia. Some swelling is normal during pregnancy. For example, your rings or shoes might become too tight. Swelling is more serious if it doesn't go away after resting, if it's very obvious in your face and hands, or if it's a rapid weight gain of more than 5 pounds in a week.

Symptoms of Preeclampsia

If you have any of these symptoms, call your doctor right away:

* Severe headaches

* Vomiting blood

* Excessive swelling of the feet and hands

* Smaller amounts of urine or no urine

* Blood in your urine

* Rapid heartbeat

* Dizziness

* Excessive nausea

* Ringing or buzzing sound in ears

* Excessive vomiting

* Drowsiness

* Fever

* Double vision

* Blurred vision

* Sudden blindness

* Pain in the abdomen (tummy)

Just call your doc. if it doesn't lessen with rest, and stay away from salt!

* hope this helps! Be blessed!
Reply:That's not out of the norm. I was like that at 37-38 weeks. I had to lay down put my feet up and rest. My husband was very sweet, he would rub my feet lightly. You're almost there!
Reply:sit down and put your feet up for about a hour or two and it the feeling does not come back or the swelling does not go down then call her
Reply:I would this could be a sign of pre-aclampsia(sp?). Did it come on rapidly?
